Annual and residual urea nitrogen contribution to the nutrition of peach trees (Prunus persica L.) grown under subtropical climate

چکیده

Nitrogen (N) fertilizers such as urea are applied to peach orchards worldwide whenever the soil cannot meet plants’ N demand. However, actual nutritional contribution of different supply modes crops, or residual in subsequent cycle, is yet be fully known. The current study aims assess annual and nutrition trees grown under subtropical climate. Forty kilograms per hectare supplied enriched (3.0 at. % 15N), were full production at a single rate (100 budding) split two rates (50 budding 50 flowering). Total 15N concentrations application year after treatments assessed leaves throughout fruits (pulp stone) harvest stratified samples. 15N, total dry mass measured perennial tree organs treatment application. Peach evidenced higher deriving from fertilizer (NDFF) was soil, well following when into rates. highest NDFF amounts recorded observed (annual organs) thick roots (perennial organ), mainly splitted. its application, due small N, found derived sources other than fertilizer; this justifies applications, necessary. cultivation cover crops preservation organic matter could help that seems take advantage more on fertilizers.

Contribution of vegetative storage proteins to seasonal nitrogen variations in the young shoots of peach trees (Prunus persica L. Batsch).

Qualitative and quantitative variations in the level of two low molecular weight vegetative storage proteins (VSP 19 kDa and 16.5 kDa) in peach shoots were compared with annual variations in total nitrogen and total soluble proteins. Protein patterns were obtained by SDS-PAGE and silver staining on each of the 12 kinetic samples collected between October 1995 and November 1996. VSP 16.5 kDa and...

Quality oriented fruit breeding: Peach [Prunus persica (L.) Batsch]

Promising new tools for peach fruit quality breeding have been revised in this work. These tools included fruit quality evaluation through physical, chemical and sensorial parameters and post-harvest storage evaluation. The development of a feasible method for an early testing of peach selections generated in breeding programs is also well described together with the discussion of the inheritan...

Metabolomics Approach to Studying Minimally Processed Peach (Prunus persica) Fruit

Fresh-cut fruit products for both retail and food service applications have increasingly appeared in the market place in recent years. Among different fruit types, peaches can be used and are highly appreciated as fresh-cut product although their commercial success is limited due to their short shelf-life and the quick onset of wounding-related physiological reactions. In this work we analyzed ...

A Survey of MicroRNA Length Variants Contributing to miRNome Complexity in Peach (Prunus Persica L.)

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are short non-coding RNA molecules produced from hairpin structures and involved in gene expression regulation with major roles in plant development and stress response. Although each annotated miRNA in miRBase (www.mirbase.org) is a single defined sequence with no further details on possible variable sequence length, isomiRs - namely the population of variants of miRNAs comi...
